Keshi (pronounced kay-SHE) is the Zuni word for “welcome”. Aptly named, Casa Keshi is a warm and inviting townhome located in the Rosario Hill Compound on Santa Fe’s north side. Being at the top of Rosario Hill provides great views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as well as the city lights and distant mountains to the south, and an added bonus is the close proximity to the downtown plaza… only 6/10 mile…about six blocks.
This two-bedroom, two and a half-bath townhome is two stories with main living on the top floor and entry plus two bedrooms and two baths on the lower level. The viga ceilings and kiva fireplace on the upper floor mix beautifully with the marble floors and granite counter tops to provide guests a taste of Santa Fe architecture with high end finishes and décor.
On the upper floor is the main living area, consisting of the kitchen, dining, living room, powder room (half bath) and a large deck and smaller balcony. The open-plan layout provides a wonderful flow while the decks and many windows provide great views and lots of natural light.
If majestic views are your cup of tea, it’s hard to beat those provided from the back deck of Keshi. It provides expansive views of both the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as well as the City of Santa Fe and beyond to the Sandia Mountains. While sunsets can be viewed from the smaller front balcony, be sure to catch the shadows and lightshows that transform this mountain-and-cityscape each afternoon.
The front balcony is off the living room. It has a small table and chairs for quaint enjoyment of sunset viewing and morning coffee in the shade.
Inside, the living area has a wonderful sofa and very comfortable chairs. The kiva fireplace is gas, so easy to turn off and on and no wood is needed. There is an HDTV with Blu Ray DVD set up for streaming.
The kitchen has high-end appliances (gas stove with electric oven). At the sink you can look out the window to view the mountains. Another window provides the City view. The light-filled dining room comfortably seats four.
On the lower level are the main entry, queen master suite, queen guest room (with small office desk), and a hall bathroom with shower only. In addition to the en-suite full bath, the queen master bedroom has a walkout patio with some views of the Sangres. It’s a private and quiet place for early morning coffee. The master also has a new HDTV.
Amenities at Casa Keshi include air conditioning, stacked washer and dryer, plenty of off-street parking, all linens, fully equipped kitchen. The heating and A/C system is forced air.
