And just around the corner is DOWNTOWN SUBSCRIPTION Café- Newsstand where you can get US and foreign newspapers and magazines as well as meet people from around the world while enjoying a delicious coffee or breakfast.
DÉCOR: Throughout the home, there are many interesting design touches. Hand-hewn beams and latillas, custom cabinetry and tinwork, kiva fireplace, flagstone and Saltillo tile floors and beautiful recessed shelves, bancos and nichos are some of its many unique features.
The furniture richly combines the new and the old …from the new bedroom furniture, old armoire and Southwestern king beds, to the rustic natural and painted trasteros, tables, chairs and chests throughout the house.
ROOMS: There are two KING bedrooms located at opposite ends of this spacious home providing maximum privacy for the late nighters and early hikers. The spacious MASTER KING suite has cable TV, small library, cedar closets and built-in shelving and a door to a small private courtyard. The en suite bath features a sunken tub with marble surrounds and beautiful cherry cabinetry and a banco. The SECOND KING bedroom has an adjacent bath and two walk-in open areas, one a closet for clothes and the other provides an extra desk/workspace. There is a TV with cable here, as well.
The light-filled living room has generous seating for watching the large Smart TV with streaming available (remember to bring your own log-ins). There is a DVD player, cable TV and fast WIFI. And an added bonus…an excellent sound system with built-in BOSE speakers.
The chef in your group will be delighted with the kitchen working space, center island, Thermador gas range and oversize fridge. The beautiful cherry cabinetry, new sinks and marble counters provide a pleasant ambiance in which to work. The dining room comfortably seats six and provides a third desk/workspace.
The study is a walk-through between the living room and the second suite. There is a wonderful work desk with a skylight above. And for those extra family members, a queen futon is in the office and a twin futon is provided when needed.
OUTSIDE: The completely enclosed and private back courtyard is a wonderful place to relax with your afternoon Margarita on the side patio or dine under the shade of the large Apricot tree. Colorful seasonal flowers lift your spirits. The gas grill is located here, as well.
AMENITIES…. include a fully equipped kitchen, all linens, washer-dryer, Xfinity WIFI and cable TV, 3 TV’s (one with streaming), BOSE sound system, off street parking for two cars. Cooling is provided by portable swamp coolers for the 3-month season when they may be needed. Your small or medium size dog is welcome and the back courtyard is fully enclosed.
