Casa Luminosa has a minimum rental period of 90 days.
Located atop Rosario Hill in a quiet setting with views of downtown Santa Fe and the majestic Sandia, Ortiz, and Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Casa Luminosa is minutes from what makes Santa Fe ‘ The City Different.’ Nestled in the foothills of Santa Fe’s Northside at an elevation of approximately 7000 feet, at Casa Luminosa you are poised to explore a city known for its confluence of scenic beauty, long history, cultural diversity, and an extraordinary concentration of arts, music and fine dining.
For the past 25 years we have traveled to Santa Fe. Each time we experience again and again the restful beauty and restorative energy that is the transformative nature of this city. In keeping with that spirit of renewal, we hope our home away from home will allow you to experience this peace as well.
Luminosa is Spanish for sunlit, something you will experience in the 1,350 square feet of luxurious interior living space plus two upper decks.
The upper-level living quarters provides an open floor plan, perfect for entertaining. Whether you are greeting a new day with your morning coffee on the upper front deck or drinking in another magnificent New Mexico sunset on the upper back deck, the tranquil light of Casa Luminosa will soothe your soul. Enjoy a gas-fired kiva fireplace, luxurious leather recliner and sleeper sofa, wide-screen cable television with access to more than 100 channels, DVD player, high-speed wireless Internet access, HP Laser Jet printer, dining area, and fully equipped cook’s kitchen with Jenn- Air range/oven. For outdoor cooking, a charcoal grill is available on the back deck.
Downstairs, the master bedroom contains a king bed with a luxurious Simmons mattress. The master bath features dual sinks, a jet tub and a separate extra-large shower. You will find a queen bed in the guest bedroom, also equipped with a plush Simmons mattress. The guest bedroom exits onto a private back porch. The guest bath contains an extra-large shower. A front-load washer and dryer are also available off the downstairs hallway.
Our casa is located several blocks north of the intersection of Griffin Street and Paseo de Peralta. Beware, some online maps show our casa at the intersection, but you will need to zoom in to pinpoint our location up the hill, near the end of Rio Grande Pl.
From Casa Luminosa, take a stroll down Rosario Hill to The Plaza in “the heart of Santa Fe”. The city’s cultural and geographic center, The Plaza is where the El Camino Real, the Santa Fe Trail, and the Old Pecos Trail end. Here you will be greeted by vestiges of Hispanic, Native American, and Western traditions and will be captivated by the music, design, jewelry, Southwestern cuisine, art and dance that abound. For groceries and other shopping, you are only a six-minute drive from the De Vargas Mall at the intersection of Guadalupe and Paseo de Peralta.
Whether you come to partake of the winter sports, Santa Fe Opera, distinctive Christmas festivities, ancient ruins of the Southwest, tribal artists at the Indian Market, or simply to escape the summer heat, Casa Luminosa will provide an experience that we hope will keep you returning to our tranquil sunlight year after year.
Amenities include forced air heating and air conditioning, washer and dryer, all linens, fully-equipped kitchen, high-speed internet with streaming, cable TV. There are two parking spaces directly in front and plenty of guest parking (no garage).
